We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes appointments need to be rescheduled or canceled. To ensure the best use of our time and resources, we have established the following cancellation policy:
Rescheduling/Cancellation Notice:
You may cancel and reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled time without incurring any additional charges.
There would be no refunds issued if someone chooses to cancel the appointment without rescheduling.
Missed Appointments:
If you are absent on the day of your appointment and do not cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance, a refund will NOT be issued.
Should you miss your appointment without prior notice and wish to book another session, you will be charged the standard fee for your upcoming appointment.
Unlike medical doctors who can see 20 to 30 patients in a day, our therapists typically see a maximum of 4 to 5 clients daily. Each session requires our therapist to reserve a full hour exclusively for you. If a cancellation occurs with less than 24 hours' notice, it is often not possible to offer that time slot to another client, leading to a significant loss of work time for our therapist.
Our cancellation and NO REFUND policy is not intended as a penalty or punishment. Most clients understand and appreciate this. Think of scheduling an appointment with us like buying tickets to an event. If you miss the event, regardless of the reason, the tickets are non-refundable.
While we recognize that unexpected events can arise, missing an appointment without 24 hours' notice means you will still be liable for the session fee. Thus, there are no exceptions to this policy. It is important that you understand and agree to these terms before proceeding with therapy sessions.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a fair and efficient schedule for all our clients.
Please refrain from contacting us outside of scheduled sessions, except for matters related to scheduling. Any clarifications or questions about your sessions can be addressed during your next appointment.
Self-Help and Emergency Situations:
Self-Help Materials: Your therapist will provide you with self-help materials to help you cope with your problems independently when your therapist is not available.
Emergency Assistance: If you are unable to reach us and require immediate assistance, please contact a psychiatrist, or doctor, or visit the nearest emergency room. Our therapists are not emergency care providers, and your health and safety should always be the top priority.
Scope of Practice:
Counseling Psychologists: Our therapists are counseling psychologists who support the healing process through psychological exploration. Their work is not a substitute for medical treatment.
Medical Consultation: If necessary, we encourage seeking psychiatric consultation for medications or reaching out to a clinical psychologist if you believe you have a disorder or have been diagnosed with one before.
Your well-being is our priority, and we are here to support you within our professional scope. Please ensure you have the necessary contacts for emergencies and medical assistance.
First Session:
Introduction: The initial session will focus on discussing your reasons for seeking treatment and gathering basic background information.
Discussion: Policies, fees, and scheduling will be covered.
Evaluation: You will learn how the therapy sessions will work, and you should use this information, along with your own impressions, to decide if you feel comfortable with the therapist.
Therapy requires a significant commitment of time, money, and energy. It is crucial to thoughtfully choose your therapist. If you have any doubts or questions about starting therapy, please discuss your concerns with us.
Therapist Fit:
Discontinuation: If, after the first session, you feel the therapist does not meet your needs, you can discontinue the therapeutic relationship and seek referrals or other professionals. Please note, that no refund will be issued in such cases.
Referrals: If the therapist determines that your issues are beyond their expertise, you will be provided with suitable referrals and the therapeutic relationship will be terminated. No refund will be issued in these cases.
Healing Process:
Time Commitment: Healing takes time. Depending on your problems, it may take weeks or even months.
Homework: The therapist may assign "homework" to be completed before your next session. We encourage you to complete your "homework" as this works as self-help and growth.
Technical Requirements:
Internet Connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection and that your device's audio and video are functioning properly.
Punctuality: If you join late for a scheduled appointment, only the remaining portion of the 50-60-minute session will be available, and no refund will be issued. If the therapist is late, you will still receive the full 50-60 minutes.
We appreciate your understanding and commitment to the therapeutic process.
All our fees are on a per-session basis. This means you will need to pay the specified price before each session. Please check the services section for detailed pricing of each service.
Payment Methods:
Online Payment: You can pay using UPI, QR Code, or Bank Transfer.
No Card Payments: We do not accept card payments at this time.
After payment, receipts will be issued accordingly. Your timely payment ensures that your sessions are scheduled and conducted smoothly. Thank you for your cooperation.
We strictly maintain the confidentiality of our clients and are committed to protecting your privacy. Your information will never be shared without your consent. If you trust and feel comfortable with someone accompanying you to your sessions, you are welcome to bring them along at no additional charge. Please note that counseling and therapy services are provided specifically to you, and not to the accompanying person. Their presence is to support you during your session.
For Minors:
Consent Form: Legal guardians or parents must sign a consent form to allow minors under 18 years old to participate in the therapeutic process.
Confidentiality: The content of the sessions will remain confidential between the minor and the therapist. However, if the therapist believes that sharing specific information with the minor's guardians will be beneficial, they may do so.
Your trust and privacy are our top priorities, ensuring a safe and secure environment for your therapy sessions.
